There is a bug with blogger at the moment that means that you have to go in and publish each entry a second time.
Needless to say this is a bit annoying. I thought it was just me but discovered a lot of people bitching about it on the blogger discuss pages. However it is a lot better than not being able to use blogger at all.
Lesson for the day - works-arounds are better than no-way-arounds.
I try not to get fussed about things and I imagine in spots that I am doing ok with this. But it’s crap, start to finish. It is all too easy to get a reaction from me but if people knew fucking better they wouldn’t.
It would be especially nice if people told me that they had done things and they actually had.
Lesson for the day - you can’t do everything, even with a computer and a handgun.
Danger came into my office and I mentioned the blue tissues to her.
It means that the box is about to run out. The bulk of the box is white and I am stupid rather than crazy.
Lesson for the day - truth in far stranger than fiction.
I know this sounds odd but I am pretty sure I would have noticed before if the tissues in my office were blue. I would be utterly unsurprised if someone has just walked off with my box of white tissues. What is staggering is that someone has left me another box.
Perhaps they were always blue and I just never noticed. Even for a clot like me this seem unlikely.
Lesson for the day - perhaps they are just unhappy tissues today.
I have decided that I will have the launch for Duck Ponds and the Sunset and the Sea at the Yak. I have booked from 5pm to 9pm on Saturday on the 29th of June. This should be early enough for those with kids to bring them along and also early enough to kick onto to someplace else for more drinks afterwards.
I will probably play a couple of short sets but spend much of the 4 hours just swanning around telling apocrophal stories about the making of the album.
Lesson for the day - sometimes deadlines are a good thing.
Having just read Viv’s comment on a recent post I now I have It’s a Girl Thing going through my head. Luckily I have a great deal of my music collection ripped as mp3s at work so I can listen to it. Sadly I cannot turn it up as much as I would like being in an office.
Lesson for the day - I probably wouldn’t understand but I do try to.

Coming into May I should be surprised that it is quite cold at half past six in the morning.
When it is this cold I don’t really want to ride my bike with the puppy, it all just seems like it is too hard.
But once she has stopped biting the lead and we have made it through the roundabout alive it is all fine and dandy (if a little chilly).
Lesson for the day - once you get into things they are rarely so bad*
* except Tom Hanks movies.
It is now 3 years since I wrote my song April Fool. It doesn’t seem that long but it certainly is.
So anyhow this is the last day of April so if you have someone you are foolish for then you have my permission (and I am sure you were waiting for it) to be especially foolish for them today.
It may even make more foolish for you.
