Scrabble Practice

August 7th, 2007

Although I only have a few minutes for it each day I like the online games of Scrabble on Facebook. If nothing else it has taught me to only use my high value letters on the special squares which (somehow) I never fully understood until now.

I real life Scrabble I usually score between two and three hundred and I am hoping that with some minor but steady practice this will improve. Anyhow for those who care here is my online track record so far. My scores come first.

274 v. 246
348 v. 319
256 v. 280
229 v. 258
253 v. 283
319 v. 262
224 v. 392
301 v. 281
309 v. 283

For those who care this gives me an average score of a little under 280. I’d really like to be like Nicky and average a bit over 300.

Lesson for the day – I am a simple man with even more simple ambitions.

I score consistently under 200, I am so out of my league with Scrabble! Still lots of fun though.

weird thing is, more often than not i can guess the target word in the newspaper within seconds, but i can’t convert this to scrabulousness.
