Windscreen Wiper
I just put new blades on the windscreen wipers for Sally which would not be a big deal. Except that I have no memory of ever having done this job before on any car. Not that it was too hard, I just followed my standard procedure for this kind of task.
The first step is the go to a large auto supplies shop, look vague and ask for the part I think I need. The second is to ask them for any tips that might be useful for putting said part on the car. The final, and terribly important step, is to take home the part, dig out some tools, swear a little and actually get the job done.
So far this highly scientific approach has worked for headlights and tail lights and I am pretty sure that it just worked for all three wiper blades.
Lesson for the day – be polite, ask questions, and then trust your luck.
