Deconstruct
November 26th, 2008
It seems like only yesterday that I brought Finn into school and I put posters up in my classroom. Well it’s not really my classroom but I taught in here sixteen times a week and it came to feel like my space. And now I am packing it all up and getting ready to move to the new campus.
Back in January, putting up all these colourful objects, I had high hopes and quite a measure of optimism. Now, as I take them down, I feel somewhat defeated. In lots of ways I have done well this year and in other ways I feel like I have failed myself and other people.
Lesson for the day – leaving is often bitter-sweet.
