Expression of Interest
December 8th, 2008
I know that what I just did is foolish. Foolish if I fail and foolish if I succeed. All the same they are short a Year 10 Coordinator next year and are asking for expressions of interest.
I have mixed feelings about this. Chances are that they will find someone with the many years of teaching experience that they want. But if they don’t at least they can consider me now that I’ve put my name in.
Lesson for the day – it would be easier and more sensible to just walk on by.

I was delighted to learn, just an hour ago, that someone with a great deal of teaching experience has also put their name in for this Year Ten job.
You Goose! I knew you’d do something like this – not that I think it’s either a bad idea or a good one. I just knew you wouldn’t be able to ignore it.
I think you’ve been very good at the job, although it has knocked you around a bit. I think it would have been a tough year for even the most experienced person.
If you were to do it again next year (and I realise that it’s a very big ‘if’) you’d have this year’s experience to fall back on and you’d be surrounded by more experienced people to support you so it could only be easier than this year.
you’d be great for the job.
