I am really looking forward to going back to school this year. I have exactly the teaching load I asked for.
I have three year 10 English classes and one year 11. First of all, English is my favourite subject to teach so that helps a lot. Although they can be challenging in lots of ways, I like working with Year 10 classes. By the same token it is nice to have the Year 11 for something new.
I am also looking forward to being at the senior campus. It is a bit like changing jobs but I already know lots of the people. Better still I quite like lots of these people, especially the group of English teachers I will be sharing an office with.
And I am looking forward to being busy. I think it does my mental health some good to be busy and occupied most days. It’s not very zen, but there you have it.
Lesson for the day – it’s a good sign when you are looking forward to going back to work,
